The core subject of a quantity surveyor. In semester 3,the topics taught were :- 

1)DOORS

2)WINDOWS

3)ROOF TRUSSES

4)ROOF FINISHES

5)ROOF DRAINAGE

6)STRUCTURAL STEEL WORKS

7)METAL WORKS

For this subject, we had a mid semester examination and one group assignment. The mid-term was not as
scary as I am quite verse with doors and windows. However this was the first time in measurement whereby the assignment is more practical. Firstly my group was given a task to choose a place, either a house or a condominium. We choose Suasana Bangsar as our building as it was convenient because my group were able to get the floor plan which makes everything much easier. This was not like in semester 1 and 2 whereby is the task is in a A3 paper and all we had to do was count, but thee were more questions to ponder upon.

The only things to measured was the doors and windows. We seperated the work and started measuring and everything went perfectly fine. We did it in a group and we were there for everyone every step of the way. It was easier because we did it together each time. After finishing of that particular part, we went off to the Bills Of Quantities and other document.                 

LEARNING OUTCOMES

I have learn to differentiate the types of doors and window with precision. Most importantly, I know how to apply it in life. Besides that, I am really greatfull to have such wonderful team members. Bills of quantities however I had trouble at first, I think I missed that particular class but with great friends and help, I manage to understand and in fact it is not hard.
